THE KIND OF SENTENCE /TYPE OF SENTENCES
DEFINE-A group of words which makes complete sense is called a sentence.
अर्थपूर्ण शब्द समूहास वाक्य असे म्हणतात. वाक्यांचे वेगवेगळे प्रकार आहेत.
There are four main kinds of sentences in English.
1)Assertive Sentence ( विधानार्थी वाक्य)
2)Imperative Sentence ( आज्ञार्थी वाक्य)
3)Interrogative Sentence ( प्रश्नार्थक वाक्य)
4) Exclamatory Sentence ( उद्गारवाचक वाक्य)
1)Assertive Sentence :-A sentence that makes a statement which asserts and denis something, is known as assertive sentence.
ज्या वाक्यात विधान केलेले असते मग ते विधान होकार आर्थिक असो किंवा नकारार्थी असेल त्याला विधानार्थी वाक्य असे म्हणतात.
Exa-Manoj is a wise boy .
2)He did not reach the school.
3)Kavita sings a song.
2)Imperative Sentence :- A Sentence that express a command, request or advice is called an imperative sentence.
या प्रकारच्या वाक्यातून आज्ञा ,प्रार्थना, विनंती, उद्देश इत्यादी आशय व्यक्त होतात अशा वाक्यांना आज्ञार्थी वाक्य असे म्हणतात.
Exa-1 shut the door .

3)Interrogative Sentence :-A sentence that askes a question is called an interrogative sentence.
ज्या वाक्य प्रश्न विचारलेले असतो किंवा या प्रकारचे वाक्य प्रश्न विचारते अशा वाक्याने प्रश्नार्थक वाक्य असे म्हणतात.
There are two types
1)Wh-Question or Informative question: ज्या प्रश्नांची सुरुवात Wh ने सुरु होणारे प्रश्नार्थक सर्वनाम होते यास Wh-question असे म्हणतात.
Exa-Who will win the match?
2)Yes/no type question :-
ज्या प्रश्नाचे सुरुवात सहाय्यकारी क्रियापद आणि होते त्यास Verbal Question असे म्हणतात .
Exa-1)Are you ready?
2) Can he speak English?
Exclamatory sentence :A sentence that express strong feeling is called an Exclamatory sentence.
ज्या वाक्यांमध्ये आनंद, दुःख ,भीती ,आच्छर्य ,खेत इत्यादी मन भावना व्यक्त होतात अशा वाक्यांना उद्गारवाचक वाक्य किंवा उद्गारार्थी वाक्य असे म्हणतात.
