 Question tag(tail tag) Marathi explanation with examples

Definition:- विधानार्थी किंवा आज्ञार्थी वाक्याच्या शेवटी एक छोटासा प्रश्न विचारलेला असतो त्यालाच Question tag  असे म्हणतात.

1) सर्वप्रथम दिलेले विधानार्थी वाक्य जसे आहे तसे लिहून स्वल्पविराम द्यावा.

2) त्यानंतर दिलेल्या वाक्यातील सहाय्यक क्रियापद घ्यावेत ;परंतु वाक्यात जर सहाय्यक क्रियापद नसेल तर अशा वेळी वाक्याचे काळानुरूप to do ची सहाय्यक क्रियापदे साध्या वर्तमान काळात do/does तर साध्या भूतकाळात did अशी वापरावेत.

3) नकारार्थी question tag करताना 'boy's चे संक्षिप्त रूप 'n't' वापरावे.

4) दिलेले वाक्य होकारार्थी असेल तर क्वेश्चन टॅग नकारार्थी करावा व दिलेले वाक्य नकारार्थी असेल तर क्वेश्चन टॅग होकारार्थी करावा.

                     Examples:-

1)I go to village. 

Ans-I go to village ,don't  i?

2)Seema looked at the deer. 

Ans-Seema looked at the deer, didn't she? 

Question tag करताना सहाय्यक क्रियापदाचे बदल खालील प्रमाणे करावे.

Am.             Aren't 

Is.               Isn't 

Was.          Wasn't 

are.          aren't 

were.          weren't 

shall.          shan't 

will.             won't 

has.               hasn't 

had.              hadn't 

can.               Can't 

could.            couldn't 

may.                mayn't 

must.                mustn't 

do.                     don't 

does.                  doesn't

did.                   didn't 

              Exa:-

1)I am a teacher. 

Ans-I am a teacher, aren't i? 

 2)Mohan is my friend. 

Ans:-mohan is my friend, isn't he? 

                   *RULES *

1)दिलेले वाक्य जर आज्ञार्थी असेल तर अशा या वाक्याचा question tag 'will you 'असा होतो .

1)stand up. 

Ans-Stand up,will you? 

2)Obey the elders. 

Ans-Obey the elders, will you?

2) दिलेल्या वाक्याची सुरुवात जर 'let's या शब्दाने झाली असेल; तर अशा वाक्याचा  question tag  नेहमी 'shall we' असा होतो.कारण let's म्हणजेच we shall होय.

1)Let's answer the questions. 

Ans-Let's answer the questions, shall we? 

2)Let's complete our work. 

Ans-Let's complete our work,shall we? 

3) दिलेल्या वाक्यातील कर्ता जर everyone, everybody, somebody, something, nobody असेल तर हि सर्वनामे एकवचनी असताना या ऐवजी अनेकवचन सर्वनामे they वापरावे.

1)somebody went there. 

Ans-somebody went there,didn't he/she?

2)Everybody likes to learn English. 

Ans-Everybody likes to learn English,don't he/she ?

4) दिलेल्या वाक्यात जर सूर्य ,चंद्र, किंवा राष्ट्राचे नाव जर    कर्ता  म्हणून वापरले असेल तर त्या ऐवजी 'she's हे सर्वनाम Question tag मध्ये वापरावे.

1)India is my country. 

Ans-India is my country,isn't she? 

2)The moon looks attractive. 

Ans-The moon lookes attractive, doesn't she?
